PARIT - Perak Umno has finalised that there will be no cooperation with Pas in facing the upcoming 15th General Election (GE15).
Its chairman Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad said Umno will be moving alone and the cooperation now would only be as a partner in the state government.
"We worked together as partners in the government, but for the election we will go our own ways, that is final." he said when met by reporters at the XP Power (M) Sdn Bhd Plant Ground Breaking Ceremony at Taman Perindustrian Farmaseutikal, Seri Iskandar here on Thursday.
He said there were different decisions made by several states regarding the Umno-Pas cooperation.
In another development, Saarani said the Perak government will have a Special State Assembly session to amend the Anti-Party Hopping Bill.
"The Special State Assembly session will he held after the national level bill is gazetted because we will use the eighth Schedule (Federal Constitution)," he said.
