Geno Smith has responded sharply after Wendy’s mocked him online following his release from the Las Vegas Raiders.

The fast-food chain had earlier joked about giving the veteran quarterback a job if free agency did not work out.

Smith clearly was not amused and fired back on social media.

Geno Smith fires back at Wendy’s after job offer joke

Geno Smith on X responded after Wendy’s joked about hiring him as a “Chief Tasting Officer” following the Raiders’ decision to move on from the quarterback.

“Get ya cheese up 1st,” Smith wrote.

Smith posted the comment while sharing a screenshot showing Wendy’s sales reportedly falling 11.3 percent in the latest quarter.

The exchange came after the company’s social media account joked that Smith could work for them if his next NFL opportunity did not materialise.

Instead of ignoring the post, the veteran quarterback decided to clap back publicly.

Smith did not stop with his first response and followed it up with another pointed comment.

Smith further wrote on X: “Out here selling poison, trying to get jokes off on Twitter. Society in shambles.”

The comments quickly gained attention online as fans reacted to the unusual back-and-forth between an NFL quarterback and a major fast-food brand.

For Smith, the exchange came during a difficult moment professionally after the Raiders released him. But the quarterback made it clear he was not going to let the joke pass without responding.
