MANILA, Philippines — Gilas Pilipinas women defeated home team Singapore, 21-10 at The Kallang on Sunday evening to qualify for the FIBA 3x3 Women's World Cup.
The Philippine team is composed of Kacey Dela Rosa, Afril Bernardino, Tantoy Ferrer, and Mikka Cacho.
Emerging as the third best team in the qualifiers with a 2-2 record, the Filipino dribblers made it to the world stage of the half-court game for the second time.
This is Gilas' first 3x3 World Cup qualification through the qualifiers, as its first appearance in 2018 was made possible because the Philippines was the host country.
Top seed Hungary (3-0) and second seed Lithuania (2-1) are the other two countries that qualified for the World Cup through this qualifying tournament.
