THE Ministry of Finance (MoF) has announced a modest cut in the retail prices of non-subsidised petrol and diesel across Peninsular Malaysia, effective from 27 November to 3 December 2025, reflecting recent shifts in global oil markets.

In a statement issued from Putrajaya, the Ministry confirmed that the price of RON97 petrol will be reduced by 2 sen to RM3.26 per litre, while non-subsidised RON95 will also fall by 2 sen to RM2.63 per litre.

Diesel prices in Peninsular Malaysia will decrease by 2 sen to RM3.08 per litre.

“The Government will continue to review and adjust petrol RON95, RON97 and diesel retail prices in line with movements in the current global oil markets. Even so, price stability remains the foremost priority,” MoF said.

The Automatic Pricing Mechanism formula will guide the adjustments, with subsidised RON95 under the BUDI95 programme remaining unchanged at RM1.99 per litre.

Diesel prices in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan will also remain steady at RM2.15 per litre.

“The Government will continue monitoring global oil price trends and take appropriate measures to ensure people’s welfare remains intact,” the statement added, underscoring a commitment to balancing affordability with market realities. - November 26, 2025
