GST would be 8% if Najib still the PM, Pua cautions on inflation

He said it would have increased inflation further.

"GST could have caused inflation to increase during that time. But due to the changes and PH had fulfilled its promise to remove GST.

"Or not GST would not have been 6 per cent but maybe eight to ten per cent," he told Bangi voters during a ceramah.

He said the rakyat are still struggling now because the government that took over from Pakatan Harapan in 2020 had failed to control the price of the goods and "we are facing the worst inflation rate in 20 years."

PH candidate for Bangi is Syahredzan Johan.
