Acting on the directions of Police Commissioner Sibash Kabiraj, the Crime Branch traced a 14-year-old girl, who had been missing for a month, within eight hours. The police also added sections of the POCSO Act to the case and arrested the accused from Rajasthan.

The victim’s family approached Kabiraj and informed him that their daughter had been missing since April 29, 2026. He handed over the investigation to the Crime Branch. Following the directions, the Manesar Crime Branch launched a search operation, traced the minor within eight hours and reunited her with her family.

“Based on the girl’s statement, sections of the POCSO Act were added to the case. A team from Sector 37 police station arrested the accused,” a Gurugram police spokesperson said. The accused was identified as Chetan (19), a resident of Dausa. The police said further legal action is under way.
