
In an enforcement action under the zero-tolerance policy of the Gurugram police towards corruption, the SHO of the Women Police Station, Manesar, has been transferred to Police Lines due to lack of supervision in a bribery case involving a female Head Constable.
According to the police, on June 12, Head Constable Kavita, who was posted at the Women Police Station in Manesar, was caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000.
In view of the seriousness of the matter, the Gurugram police transferred the SHO of the Women Police Station Manesar to Police Lines with immediate effect and initiated a departmental inquiry/action against her for a lack of supervision.
