
Senior Superintendent of Police Harmandeep Singh Hans has dismissed a constable from service as part of the Punjab Police’s zero-tolerance policy towards indiscipline and involvement in unlawful activities.
The SSP stated that senior constable Jivandeep Singh was dismissed from service following the registration of an FIR June 3 at Police Station IT City, SAS Nagar. He was one of the accused involved in a case of snatching a vehicle at gunpoint. The case has been registered under Sections 304(1), 126(2), and 61(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with Sections 25, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act.
