Hadi Awang, the President of PAS, has a thing for the moon. Not just any moon, mind you, but the moon that happens to be the logo of his beloved party. It's like a match made in celestial heaven, or at least in the quirky world of political branding.
PAS has embraced this lunar emblem as its rallying cry, its raison d'être, its guiding light in the dark, or rather, in the night. Hadi has been known to wax poetic about this lunar love, using it as a shining example of why PAS exists.
At a campaign rally in Sungai Besar, Hadi once quipped that the moon logo is special because, unlike the Barisan Nasional's 'dacing' or the Amanah party's triangle, it cannot be turned upside down. Well, that's one way to pick your political allegiances—based on logo stability!
But Hadi didn't stop there. In a recent display of what can only be described as the banality of crazy, he went on to suggest that the moon is better than the sun. Why, you ask? Because while the sun shines brightly during the day when it's already bright, the moon provides light in the darkness of night.
Yes, you read that right. According to Hadi, the moon is more useful than the sun because it gives us light at night, when it's dark. Who knew that was the moon's primary selling point? Take that, sun!
So, there you have it, folks. In the topsy-turvy world of Malaysian politics, where logos reign supreme and celestial bodies are up for debate, Hadi Awang stands firm in his belief that the moon is the light that shines brightest in the darkness. Whether you agree with him or not, you have to admit, it's one small step for PAS, one giant leap for lunar symbolism.
