Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their children will divide their time between royal and private accommodation throughout their stay, GB News understands.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will bring their two children to Britain next month for what will be the family's first visit together since 2022.

Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are set to stay at an undisclosed royal residence alongside their parents during the trip, as well as private accommodation, though neither child will participate in any official engagements.

Meghan and the children have not been in the UK since travelling to London for the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations that summer.

Archie, seven, was only three years old at the time, while Lilibet marked her first birthday at Frogmore Cottage.

Harry's police protection was withdrawn following his relocation to the United States in 2020, and he has previously stated he could not envisage bringing his wife and children back to Britain under such circumstances.

The duke has spent five years pursuing legal action against the Home Office over the matter while awaiting the outcome of a security review agreed by the Home Secretary.

However, the assessment by Ravec, the Home Office committee responsible for the protection of royalty and public figures, has yet to conclude, GB News understands.

By staying at one of the King's properties, the family would benefit from security measures already in place at the residence.

Father and son have maintained contact and are widely anticipated to meet during next month's visit, though nothing has been confirmed by either camp.

The schedule includes several gaps that could accommodate a meeting with King Charles, should the monarch's diary permit.

Harry last saw his father in September, when the pair shared tea at Clarence House for approximately 50 minutes.

The duke's programme of engagements will commence with an Invictus Games Foundation gathering at Chatham House, where experts and policymakers will convene to address matters affecting wounded and sick military personnel.

Uganda is expected to be confirmed as the 26th nation joining the Games.

The couple will carry out their first joint public appearance in Britain since 2020 when they meet Chelsea Pensioners at the Royal Hospital Chelsea.

In his capacity as WellChild patron, the duke will travel to Birmingham Children's Hospital to celebrate two decades since the charity appointed its inaugural nurse.

At the National Exhibition Centre, Harry and Meghan will participate in events with former Invictus competitors, marking one year until the 2027 Birmingham Games.

The duke will also attend the Scotty's Summer Festival at Maxstoke Castle in Warwickshire, where he will spend time with bereaved military children supported by the charity Scotty's Little Soldiers.
