The police claim to have cracked the murder case of a 26-year-old woman whose body, wrapped in a mat, was found lying in bushes at Dhawana village in the district.

As per the police, the woman, identified as Jyoti Kumari (26) from Uttar Pradesh, was strangled to death by her husband Kanwarpal, a resident of Mandola village. “Kanwarpal has been arrested and has confessed to having murdered his wife in a fit of rage,” said DSP Pawan Kumar. On May 31, the police received information that the body of a woman was found lying in the bushes at Dhawana village. A police team reached the spot and found the body wrapped in a mat. A cloth was stuffed in the mouth of the deceased.

On June 2, her father, Ram Adhar, told the police that Kanwarpal was an alcoholic and used to beat her up when she objected to it.

Man beats up 21-yr-old wife to death in Rohtak

Rohtak: A 21-year-old woman, identified as Joshna Bhanu, was allegedly beaten to death by her husband in Dobh village under the Bahu Akbarpur police station area. A domestic dispute is suspected to have triggered the incident. The police later arrested the accused, identified as Azad.

The incident came to light on Tuesday morning after police received information about the woman’s death and reached the spot.
