Haze: All 13 unhealthy air readings recorded in Sarawak with Sri Aman highest at 182

ALL 13 areas recording unhealthy Air Pollution Index (API) readings nationwide as of 8am today were in Sarawak, with Sri Aman registering the highest reading at 182.

Data from the Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS) showed Serian recorded the second-highest reading at 177, followed by Sibu at 174 and Kuching at 173.

Other areas recording unhealthy readings were Sarikei at 169, Bintulu at 168, Samarahan at 167, Mukah at 162, Samalaju at 158, Miri at 157, ILP Miri at 155, Limbang at 152 and Kapit at 107.

An API reading of between 101 and 200 is classified as unhealthy, indicating air quality that may affect health, particularly among sensitive groups. - September 23, 2026
