The readings placed all six air quality monitoring stations in Selangor at unhealthy levels as of 7 am.
According to the Malaysian Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS), other areas in the Klang Valley that also recorded unhealthy air quality were Putrajaya, with an API reading of 174, Batu Muda (173) and Cheras (167).
Nationwide, a total of 38 areas recorded unhealthy API readings, while another 30 registered moderate air quality levels.
API readings between 101 and 200 are classified as unhealthy, while readings between 201 and 300 are categorised as very unhealthy.
The public, particularly vulnerable groups, are advised to monitor the latest API readings through APIMS and reduce outdoor activities if air quality worsens.
