Two buses collided head-on in front of the Indian Oil petrol pump on the Farrukhnagar-Jhajjar Road in the Farrukhnagar police station area on Tuesday. Several passengers, including the drivers of both buses, were injured in the accident.
According to local residents, both buses were travelling on Jhajjar Road in the morning. Near the petrol pump, one bus suddenly emerged from the petrol pump side, while the other was carrying passengers from Farrukhnagar, resulting in a head-on collision between the two vehicles. More than half a dozen passengers were injured in the accident.
Locals and passersby immediately began rescue operations, pulling the injured out of the buses. Police and ambulances arrived at the scene soon after being informed. The injured were admitted to the government hospital in Farrukhnagar and a hospital in Gurugram, where they are currently undergoing treatment.
Police inspected the scene, removed both buses from the road, and launched an investigation. A senior police officer said that preliminary investigations suggest negligence or overspeeding may have caused the accident.
