Pete Hegseth was pressed to give more information regarding a strike on a school in Iran over the weekend

State media reported that the Shajareh Tayyebeh girls' elementary school in Minab was destroyed in an attack on Saturday (28 February) during a joint US-Israeli bombing campaign.

The strike led to the deaths of 160 children, according to UN experts.

Asked if there is any clarity on whose munition was used in the strike in a press conference on Wednesday, 4 March, Mr Hegseth repeated: “We’re investigating it.”
