Kota Kinabalu: A higher number of test samples pushed the State’s Covid-19 caseload to 121 on Wednesday just after falling below the 100 mark with 94 cases the day earlier.

Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said the State recorded 627 more cases, while the positivity rate remained relatively low at 5.85 per cent.

“Four districts recorded double-digit figures, namely Kota Kinabalu (23), Sandakan (14), Tawau (14) and Tuaran (11).

“Seven districts did not record any new infections, namely Beaufort, Beluran, Kalabakan, Kunak, Nabawan, Semporna and Telupid,” he said in a statement, Wednesday.

He said 119 out of 121 cases were category one and two infections, while two cases were category three infections.

No deaths or new clusters were identified.
