Himachal Pradesh University Vice-Chancellor Prof Mahavir Singh, along with representatives of Majesty Global Technologies Pvt Ltd, during a MoU signing ceremony held at the university on Saturday.

The Placement Career and Guidance Cell of Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Shimla, on Saturday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Majesty Global Technologies Pvt. Ltd. to strengthen academic-industry collaboration and enhance career opportunities for students.

Prof Mahavir Singh, Vice-Chancellor, HPU, said that the aim of the MoU was to provide industry-ready training, advanced skill development programmes, internship opportunities, modern training techniques and placement opportunities for the students of the university. “This collaboration will also focus on bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements through practical exposure and professional mentorship,” he added.

The Vice-Chancellor said that this collaboration would open new avenues for students in terms of professional training, internships, employability enhancement and placement support in emerging industry sectors. He added that such collaborations would play a significant role in preparing students according to global industry standards and future employment requirements.

Prof Mahavir Singh said, “The initiative reflects the university’s commitment towards providing quality career-oriented opportunities and empowering students with practical skills, professional exposure and industry-oriented learning experiences.”

Registrar Gian Singh Negi signed the MoU on behalf of the university while Director of Majesty Global Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Ashutosh Verma signed it. Ramesh Thakur, Placement in-charge; Pardeep Kumar Suman, Placement Officer; Shyam Lal Kaushal, Controller of Examinations; and Prof JS Dhiman, Dean Planning and Teachers Training, were also present on the occasion.
