The City Hatchback 2026 marks the second facelift for the current-generation model, which was originally introduced in Malaysia back in 2021. Unsurprisingly, many of the visual and feature updates introduced on the refreshed sedan have made their way to the hatchback as well.

Among these changes is a sharper front bumper profile paired with redesigned Connected Headlights across all variants. The range-topping RS variant gains sportier touches, including new 16-inch alloy wheels featuring a two-tone Berlina Black and Dark Clear finish.

Inside, the cabin gets a refreshed aesthetic with ambient lighting running across the dashboard. Practicality remains intact, as the facelift retains Honda’s signature Ultra Seats, offering four versatile rear seat configurations.

Tech-wise, the newly facelifted model now features a larger floating-style 10-inch infotainment screen (which Honda calls Display Audio). On the safety front, Honda has fitted the hatchback with a new 360-degree Multi-View Camera System, while also upgrading its safety suite with Blind Spot Information (BSI) and Cross Traffic Monitoring (CTM).

Under the hood, the range-topping option continues to feature Honda’s 1.5L e:HEV hybrid powertrain, which delivers 107hp (80kW) and 253Nm of torque. While not explicitly detailed in early pre-launch materials, the 121hp (90kW) 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC 4-cylinder petrol engine option is expected to carry over as well.

All new Honda models purchased from 1 September 2026 come standard with an 8-year warranty with unlimited mileage. On top of that, the hybrid variant receives an upgraded 10-year warranty with unlimited mileage, specifically covering the hybrid battery and its related components.
