MetMalaysia places five Kedah districts at Level 1 hot weather alert as temperatures hit 35-37°C for three consecutive days.

KUALA LUMPUR: Five districts in Kedah have been placed under a hot weather alert by the Malaysian Meteorological Department.

The affected areas are Pokok Sena, Pendang, Baling, Padang Terap and Kulim.

MetMalaysia defines the alert level as a daily maximum temperature of 35-37 degrees Celsius recorded for at least three consecutive days.

The department advised the public to refer to its official website for the latest daily hot weather status updates.
