SANDAKAN: A non-permanent house at Residensi Borneo Cove, along Jalan Buli Sim-Sim, was 80 per cent destroyed in a fire on Wednesday morning.
The Sandakan Fire and Rescue Station dispatched 15 personnel along with four fire engines to the scene, located two kilometres away, after receiving an emergency call at 11.03 am.
Firefighters brought the blaze involving the 30-by-50-foot structure under control by 11.08 am using a 200-foot hose line with two nozzles, drawing water from a fire tanker.
No casualties were reported in the incident, and the operational response was fully concluded at 12.38 pm.
