Brad Dalke has given himself a fantastic opportunity to at least make the cut at the BMW International Open in Germany, with the YouTube star posting an opening round of 69 in Munich.
The field for the latest DP World Tour included a number of notable names, including Joaquin Niemann and Sergio Garcia.
But for those who are interested in YouTube golf, Brad Dalke was perhaps the player that they wanted to keep the closest eye on during Thursday’s first round.
Dalke is set to make a number of starts in the professional game this season, including at the Rocket Classic on the PGA Tour.
The early signs suggest that the 28-year-old has reason to be optimistic.

Dalke – who recently announced his departure from Good Good due to personal reasons – made four birdies and one bogey on his way to finishing up at three under par at the BMW International Open.
He very nearly made a hole in one on only his second hole of the day.
The American managed to make a handful of impressive par saves during the latter stages of his round.
That left him inside the top 40 at the conclusion of his first round. He was also just five shots off the lead, with South African pair Jayden Schaper and Hennie du Plessis both on eight under par.

Niemann went one shot better than Dalke on Thursday. However, it was a much tougher day for Sergio Garcia.
The Spaniard, of course, missed out on qualifying for The Open Championship at Royal Birkdale earlier this week. Garcia suggested that he felt particularly ill at the start of his second round on Monday after eating lasagne at lunch.
He has another opportunity to book his ticket to the final major of the year this week.
But he will need to improve after kicking off his tournament in Germany with a one under par round of 71.
