New York Knicks fans have a short window to claim free tickets for the team’s NBA Championship Ceremony at City Hall, with the public lottery closing at 11am on Wednesday, 17 June 2026.

The city is giving away 600 free tickets for the event, which will take place at City Hall Plaza on Thursday, 18 June, following the Knicks’ ticker-tape parade through Lower Manhattan.

The giveaway comes after the Knicks ended a 53-year wait for an NBA title.

How to enter the free ticket lottery

Fans can enter the lottery through Knicks.com/CeremonySweeps. The sweepstakes will select 300 winners, with each winner receiving two tickets to the City Hall event.

Entries must be submitted before the lottery closes at 11am on Wednesday, 17 June.

Winners are expected to be notified shortly after the deadline.

When the Knicks parade and City Hall ceremony take place

The Knicks championship parade begins at 10am on Thursday, 18 June. The route starts at The Battery and heads north on Broadway through the Canyon of Heroes.

The ticketed ceremony will then take place at noon at City Hall Plaza.

Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani posted on X that “The Knicks belong to New York City” and dedicated the championship to “the people who waited 53 years for it.”

While the parade is open to the public, access to the City Hall ceremony is restricted to those who secure tickets through the lottery.
