The Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, has invited online applications from eligible candidates for engagement as research associates of law till June 16. The engagement will be on a purely contractual basis with a consolidated remuneration of Rs 50,000 per month.
An official of the university said it had advertised a total 10 positions, comprising seven posts under the unreserved category, one post each for Scheduled Caste (SC), Other Backward Class (OBC), and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories of Himachal Pradesh. “The engagement is intended to strengthen academic and research activities of the university while providing young legal scholars an opportunity to contribute to teaching, research and institutional development,” said the official.
Specifying the qualifications required for the posts, the official said that the essential qualifications, experience and eligibility conditions for the post will be the same as those prescribed for the post of Assistant Professor under the UGC Regulations, 2018.
