“Culture is our identity and preserving it is our responsibility,” said Prof Mahavir Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Shimla, while addressing students during a cultural programme titled ‘Envision-2026’ at the University Institute of Legal Studies on Wednesday.

He urged students to remain deeply connected to their cultural roots. He also talked about the growing relevance of legal education in the rapidly evolving era of modern technology. He congratulated the institute for successfully organising the event.

More than 200 students participated in various competitions and performances, including bhangra, nati, western dance, open mic, modelling, solo dance, duet dance and calligraphy. Institute Director Shiv Kumar Dogra welcomed all guests and congratulated the students, who participated in the competitions. He also expressed gratitude to the university and the organising committee for their support.

Besides, the winners of the two-day annual sports competition were honoured during the event.
