POLICE have referred the investigation papers involving a woman known as ‘Inspector Sheila’—accused of belittling fellow officers during a roadside inspection—to the Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) for further action.
Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said the investigation has been completed and was handed over to the DPP’s office on Monday.
“We are now waiting for further instructions,” he said in a statement issued the same day.
According to earlier reports, the incident occurred at about 9.30pm last Tuesday along Jalan Ipoh, when the woman allegedly mocked police officers for stopping a foreign motorist driving without a licence.
She was said to have accused the officers of not knowing the law, ridiculed their actions, and claimed that one of them had threatened the foreigner.
Following the confrontation, the officer involved lodged a police report. The case is being investigated under Section 186 of the Penal Code for obstructing a public servant in the discharge of duties and Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act for insulting behaviour.
A video of the incident later went viral on social media, showing the woman accusing police of threatening a Pakistani motorcyclist.
‘Inspector Sheila’ has been suspended from duty since 23 June 2023 over several previous cases, including allegedly insulting a police officer and threatening an elderly woman. - November 10, 2025
