Institution of Engineers of Malaysia Sabah to host Inter-Professional Bodies Games

Kota Kinabalu: The Institution of Engineers of Malaysia (IEM) Sabah branch will host an Inter-Professional Bodies Games (IPB Games) this year, said its Vice-Chairman Ir. Ts. KJ Tan.

He said seven major professional bodies namely Pertubuhan Arkitek Malaysia (PAM), Malaysia Medical Association (MMA), Sabah Law Society (SLS), Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM), Malaysia Institute of Accountant (MIA), Sabah Pharmacy Association (SPA) and IEM itself will take part in the IPB Games.

Advertisement (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});“There will be 12 sport games for the seven bodies members to take part such as futsal, soccer, badminton, table tennis, basketball, e-sports, golf, darts and many more.

“These various games will test the resilience of each body to vie for the overall IPB Championship Cup,” he said.

The six engineers were Ir. Wah Kheng Haw (IPB Games Chairman), Ag. Khairul Kamaludin (YES Chairman), Ivy Cassandra, Ts. Dr. Nurul Shahadatul, Albert Chai and Nisham Chong.

KJ said all the games will be executed for a period of 11 months, spanning from February to December 2025.

“The Ministry also lauded the youth development and engagement efforts by IEM.

“Future collaborations may be initiated to promote and enhance youth engagements beyond the engineering fields,” he said.
