A total of 44 cadets were entrusted with various leadership responsibilities during the investiture ceremony at Sainik School, Kunjpura, for the academic session 2026-27.
The newly appointed cadets formally received their appointments through the traditional piping ceremony conducted by Captain (IN) Gurbir Singh, Principal; Lt Col Nirmaljeet Singh, Vice Principal and Wg Cdr Soniya Sharma, administrative officer and Lt Col Sandeep Rathee, administrative officer (designate). The appointments included school captain, school vice-captain, school adjutant, school prefects, sports captain, cultural captain, mess captain, house captains and house prefects.
Cadet Aryan Ranjan was appointed as the school captain, while cadet Vishal Sehgal assumed the responsibility of school vice-captain. Cadet Sahitya Rawal was appointed as the school adjutant.
On the occasion, the school also honoured academic achievers with the institution of academic excellence badges and torches. Class toppers were awarded badges and certificates in recognition of their outstanding academic performance and dedication towards excellence.
Addressing the gathering, Captain (IN) Gurbir Singh congratulated the appointment holders and academic achievers, and encouraged them to uphold the core values of discipline, leadership, responsibility and integrity. He motivated the cadets to lead by example and contribute positively towards the growth and reputation of the institution.
