The Century School, Gharaunda, conducted its Investiture Ceremony, formally installing the student council comprising 13 School Cabinet members and 48 House Cabinet representatives across four houses — Cogent, Creative, Cruise and Crusade — with 12 members in each house. The ceremony commenced with the traditional lamp lighting and recitation of the Gayatri Mantra, followed by cultural performances by junior students. The pivotal moment of the event came when outgoing Vice-Captain Kanishka Sharma ceremonially handed over the school flag to newly appointed Captain Sejal Mittal, symbolising the transition of leadership and institutional continuity. Anita Arora administered the solemn pledge to the cabinet members, who vowed to uphold integrity, foster unity and serve the institution with dedication. The newly invested leaders received badges and sashes amid thunderous applause, their expressions reflecting pride and responsibility. Class monitors from Standards I to XII were subsequently badged in a dignified ceremony. Arora administered a separate pledge emphasising academic excellence, discipline and peer mentorship, which the monitors recited with conviction. Managing Director Ankur Jindal addressed the students emphasising leadership is about service rather than privilege. “True leaders inspire through example, demonstrating compassion, accountability and unwavering commitment to collective welfare,” he said. The ceremony was graced by Chairperson Shashi Bansal, Director Megha Bansal, Director Shweta Jindal and Dr Karuna Arora. It concluded with the National Anthem, marking the beginning of a promising leadership tenure dedicated to academic excellence and holistic institutional development.
