Is Lee Dong-wook currently single?

Yes, Lee Dong-wook appears to be single, as there have been no reports or confirmation from the actor or his agency relating to his dating life. In a recent interview, Lee opened up about his dating struggles, saying he’s ‘too lazy’ for romance. Appearing on Yoo Jae-suk’s popular YouTube show, Pinggyeo (via Sportskeeda), the actor admitted that he hasn’t been able to pursue romantic relationships due to a sense of laziness creeping on him.

“I don’t think I can date anymore. I’m so lazy. To date, you have to become friends with someone. I don’t remember how to do that anymore, it’s been so long,” the actor stated. While Lee said he is inclined to find love, he added his laid-back approach has been a hindrance.

Lee Dong-wook and Bae Suzy

Ever since Lee Dong-wook entered the film industry in 1999, he has only been in one confirmed relationship – with actress Bae Suzy. Lee and the Start-Up actress started dating in 2018 after meeting at a casual gathering. Before getting into a relationship, the former Miss A member had even expressed her liking towards Lee, calling the actor her ideal type.

After days of speculation, Lee’s agency finally released a statement in March 2018, confirming their relationship. The statement revealed that the two met at a private party and were in the process of getting to know each other with positive feelings. Just as fans started shipping their romance, things turned the other way around.

In May 2018, after two months into their relationship, it was reported that they parted ways owing to packed schedules, which left no time to pursue romantic interests. Not to mention how there was negativity surrounding their 13-year age gap, with people slamming Lee for being ‘too old’ for her. At the time, Bae Suzy was 24 while Lee was 37.
