Cristiano Ronaldo has not found his rhythm at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, despite his biggest fan’s best efforts to spur him on.
While Lionel Messi has torn through Group J — six goals already and a record seven straight World Cup matches on the scoresheet — Ronaldo’s tournament has been stop-start. A quiet opener against DR Congo, a brace against Uzbekistan, then little against Colombia as Portugal drew 0-0 in Miami on Saturday to finish second in Group K.
One person determined to drag him along for the ride was IShowSpeed. The streamer and lifelong Ronaldo superfan turned up to the Colombia game in the most on-brand way possible — behind the wheel of his custom CR7-themed Lamborghini.

The car is not a one-off gag.
IShowSpeed, real name Darren Watkins Jr., bought the custom Huracan in 2024 and had it wrapped in a Ronaldo mural and Portugal’s colors — a build reported to sit somewhere between $249,000 and $500,000.
In a clip posted to X before kickoff, the streamer told his followers: “Chat, we’re gonna pull up in the Ronaldo Lamborghini. He gotta win, bro — he gotta win.”
The grand entrance did not rub off on the pitch. Ronaldo was quiet for long stretches as Portugal were held to a goalless draw, with Joao Felix looking the more likely of the two to break the deadlock.
His sharpest moments at the tournament remain those two finishes against Uzbekistan.
At 41, the questions about his role are fair. Ronaldo may now offer Portugal more as an impact substitute, sent on to chase a game rather than set its tempo. Roberto Martinez’s side still have the squad to go deep, but the balance around their captain needs work.
Portugal finished second in Group K and face Croatia in the Round of 32 on July 2nd. The talent is there for a long run. Something, though, has to change.
