Kota Kinabalu: Kinabalu Pink Ribbon has officially rebranded itself as Sabah Kinabalu Pink Ribbon, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to breast cancer awareness and patient support across the state.
The name change reflects the organization’s expanded mission as a state-recognized entity, reinforcing its dedication to empowering and educating communities throughout Sabah.
Since its founding, the organization has been a pillar of hope, providing crucial support services, awareness programs, and community-driven initiatives for individuals and families affected by breast cancer.
President Christy Fe Salazar expressed excitement about the organization’s transformation.
“This milestone is a testament to our unwavering commitment to breast cancer awareness and support. Becoming a state association allows us to reach even more individuals on their breast cancer journey,” she said.
To commemorate this achievement, Sabah Kinabalu Pink Ribbon has planned a series of fundraising events aimed at fostering community solidarity and raising essential funds for its mission: the 13th Mother’s Day Walk Abreast will be held on May 4, 2025, at Taman Awam Teluk Likas.
The Pink Walk in Keningau will be held in August 2025, and the Pink Run in Tawau in November 2025.
