KUALA LUMPUR: The investigation paper into a six-vehicle crash on Jalan Kuching here that killed a five-year-old girl will be referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) for further instructions.

Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief ACP Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa said the driver whose car hit the vehicle carrying the victim from behind was still receiving treatment at a private hospital.

“The investigating officer is completing the investigation and monitoring the driver’s condition. Any developments in the case will be announced,” he said when contacted today.

The crash occurred last Saturday afternoon when the car carrying the victim and her father was hit from behind amid slow-moving traffic on Jalan Kuching towards Segambut here.

The victim, who was seated in the rear passenger seat, sustained serious head injuries and was pronounced dead at Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL).

The crash also involved four other vehicles.

The 24-year-old driver of the car that hit the victim’s vehicle was later found receiving treatment at a private hospital in Damansara for a concussion after leaving the scene.
