KOTA KINABALU: Kapayan assemblywoman Datuk Jannie Lasimbang said effective urban planning is about practical solutions, not mega projects, as she continued her rounds inspecting infrastructure works across her constituency.
Over two days, she visited several ongoing projects including road patching at Kg Tuntuluk Nosoob, drainage upgrades in Kapayan Ridge and Rumah Murah Kapayan, and roofing installation at Kapayan Square.
She also checked the new pedestrian bridge at SK Bahang and community facility repairs at Beverly Hills and Beverly Plaza.
Jannie said each project, regardless of size, plays a crucial role in improving safety, comfort and accessibility for residents.
“Good planning means connecting small but vital systems, roads, drainage, lighting and walkways, into one network that truly serves the people,” she said.
She stressed that development should make life easier, not more complicated, and thanked agencies, contractors and community groups for their cooperation in ensuring all works benefit Kapayan residents.
