Jeremy Clarkson ‘refusing to give up alcohol’ despite prostate cancer diagnosis

  • Clarkson's Farm presenter Jeremy Clarkson, 66, has made a diet admission following treatment for an aggressive form of prostate cancer that he disclosed during the latest series of his show.
  • Despite receiving medical advice to reduce his fat intake, eat more protein, and exercise more, the broadcaster stated he refuses to give up alcohol or his favourite foods in order to retain joy in his old age.
  • The former Top Gear host chose to undergo high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) treatment, a minimally invasive procedure that uses high-frequency sound waves to heat and destroy targeted cancer cells.
  • Clarkson shared that he is checked annually and described telling his children about the diagnosis and having a catheter fitted as the toughest parts of the ordeal, but added he is now feeling much better.
  • The update follows success for Clarkson at the National Television Awards, where his Prime Video series documenting life on Diddly Squat farm won the award for best factual entertainment series.
