Local lad Atul Dhankhar won back-to-back gold medals in the 50-metre breaststroke and 100-metre breaststroke events.

Swimmers from Jhajjar once again showcased outstanding talent at the Senior Haryana State Swimming Championship, which concluded in Bahadurgarh town on Friday. Local lad Atul Dhankhar won back-to-back gold medals in the 50-metre breaststroke and 100-metre breaststroke events. He also secured a silver medal in the 50-metre freestyle event and two gold medals in medley and freestyle relay.

Jhajjar district swimmers also won the Overall Trophy of the Senior State Swimming Championship. Jhajjar swimmer Mayank Joon received the Best Swimmer award in the men’s category, while Bharti from Sonepat won the Best Swimmer award in the girls’ category.

In the 50-metre breaststroke men’s category, Atul Dhankhar, Shobhit Gill, and Rohit Solanki from Jhajjar won Gold, silver and bronze medals respectively. In the women’s category, Zoya Agrawal from Gurugram won gold, Kanishka from Shah Satnam secured silver, and Shanvi from Faridabad won the bronze medal.
