TAWAU: A 34-year-old man was seriously injured after being hit by a Toyota Hilux and thrown into a roadside drain while jogging with 20 others at Batu 3, Jalan Apas, Tawau around 3.50am on Saturday.

District police chief ACP Jasmin Hussin said the victim, who suffered head injuries, remains warded in the men’s surgical ward at Tawau Hospital but is in stable condition.

The hit-and-run occurred while the group was jogging from McDonald’s towards Bandar Sri Indah, with the victim among the front three runners when the vehicle struck from behind.
