Kota Kinabalu: John Erison won the men’s gross title last Saturday at the Sutera Harbour Marina, Golf and Country Club during their August Monthly Medal competition.
He secured first place with a score of 78 on a countback against Aliasin Alipah, while Ricky Kim finished one-shot behind in third.
In the nett event, title A went to Azahari @ Pak Chu (71) and in second place was Hj Sani (71) with Simon Jwa (73) in third.
Title B winner was Dr Dennis Lim Chang Wai (68) followed by Chean Tow Hoi (68) and Chong Chao Seng (69), while the top three positions in category C went to Nurdin Goming (73), Soo Chee Yong (73) and Eric Hiew (75).
The men’s senior was won by Lim Ching Seng (66) followed by Datuk Hj Safar Untong (71) and Dr Sergius Ajik (73), while the top three winners in the super senior category went to Yang Kwang Cheol (65), Kim Youn Chong (67) and Lee Tae Sil (69).
In the ladies’ category, Mari Song (83) successfully defended her gross title and in second place was Park Ock Nam (85) with Hwang Yeon Hwa (88) in third.
The nett title went to Rebecca @ Becky (70) with Lee Ae Suk (72) in second place and Hwang Myung Hee (72) in third, while the top three winners in the senior category were Katrina Han Young Hee (70), Go Eun Jung (70) and Lia Kim Sun Ae (73).
In the junior category, Muhd Yahya Ummar Ariff (65) clinched the title, beating second placed Elijah J. Logijin (68) and Khayr Akhtar Ummar Ariff (68).
Meanwhile, the guest title went to Khairy Syazwan (71) followed by Annuar (72) and Chang Tze Kent (74).
