JOLLIBEE Foods Corp. (JFC) has expanded its footprint in the United States with the opening of a new store in downtown San Francisco, California.
The new outlet, which opened on July 31, adds to Jollibee’s presence in the Bay Area, where it opened its first US store in Daly City in 1998.
The company said the opening boosted its North American network, which now has more than 100 stores across the US and Canada.
“The Bay Area has welcomed Jollibee with open arms ever since we debuted our very first US location in Daly City nearly three decades ago, and we are absolutely thrilled to bring our joyful dining experience to the heart of downtown,” Jollibee North America President Beth Dela Cruz said.
“This dynamic city is a milestone location for us as we continue to accelerate our growth across California,” she added.
Jollibee said it planned to open more stores in California, including locations in Oxnard, Elk Grove and Roseville. The Roseville branch, scheduled to open on Aug. 7, will be the company’s third franchised store in North America.
The company said its North American franchising program was expected to support further expansion, backed by multi-unit franchise commitments in Nevada, New York, Texas and Washington.
Jollibee noted that its North American stores were generating an average unit volume of $4.9 million, which it claimed was about 2.5 times higher than that of many other quick-service restaurant operators.
It also cited growing recognition of its flagship Chickenjoy, which was named the “best fast-food fried chicken in America” by USA Today for the third straight year in July 2026.
Shares of JFC on Monday rose P1.20, or 0.81 percent, to close at P150.00 each.
