
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s Joyce Heng Shu Xia ended the year with another woman’s open title at the Strongestman Games held at the Kuningan City Hall in South Jakarta, Indonesia on Saturday.
She took the gold medal with a maximum 30 points from three routines (car deadlift, overhead medley and sandbag run) and in second place was Melinda Septiani (27) followed by Selly Marlin (24), both from Indonesia.
AdvertisementFellow Malaysian teammate Muhd Nur Arif Khalil came second with 27 points in the men’s open event, losing to Tabriz Nurut Dinoff (28) from Indonesia and in third place was Brunei’s Hanis Daud (26).
Joyce, who had earlier taken the Malaysia’s Strongestwoman title held in Melaka a week ago, said her next target is the Hong Kong Strongest Man and Woman competition scheduled on January 25.
