Justin Rose’s caddie, Mark Fulcher, has caddied at The Masters 16 times throughout his career, so he knows Augusta National better than most.
Rose has come agonizingly close to winning The Masters on two occasions – in 2017 and 2026, losing in playoffs both times.
The 45-year-old Englishman loves playing in The Masters and his game is perfectly suited to Augusta.
It would be a real crime if Rose were to finish his playing career at Augusta National without having won at least one Masters title.

Mark Fulcher has been right by Rose’s side for much of his professional journey and he plays a crucial role in getting his man ready for tournaments every single week.
The man affectionately known as ‘Fooch’ caddied for Rose from 2008 to 2019 before the duo split.
He then returned to Rose’s bag in September 2023 and the pair have stayed together ever since.
Justin Rose’s caddie reveals ‘underrated’ quality required at Augusta National
Fulcher has been speaking to Beyond The Clubhouse about Augusta National, with the start of The Masters now just over one week away.
‘Fooch’ responded when asked what is the most challenging thing about Augusta, both for players and their caddies.
“I mean, it’s just so incredibly hilly,“ Rose’s caddie admitted.

“I think the first thing that anybody who’s been there for the first time says about it is just how undulating it is, you know, the ski slope going down 10, and then you walk down 11, which is a steeper, and unfortunately, when you go down, there’s only one place you’ve got to do, and let’s come back up.
“Walking up 18 is a steep climb, but the main thing is, it’s the 18th, and you don’t have to take one more step, so … it’s a very tough course to carry on.
“I think that’s why it’s mentally tough to play, as well, because physically, you have to be, as a player, in top shape to really see that test out.
“So I think that’s very underrated as far as, you know, being able to play Augusta, is having the fitness to be able to do that for four and a half hours round there.“
Mark Fulcher shares what Justin Rose is really like to work for
Fulcher has lifted the lid on what Rose is really like as a boss.
“He’s, uh, he’s tough, at times,“ he admitted.
“But he’s also very fair, and, as I said, you know, he puts in 100% effort, and all he expects of his team members is to put in the same.
“So if we all do that, then nothing can be said at the end of the week.
“We’re talking about what he needs at a certain time, and obviously, you know, energy, conservation is really important.
“He’s 45, incredibly fit, amazingly fit for his age, but we all have to understand that, you know, Father Time is catching up.
“So we’d have to be aware of the boundaries, and I think we’re all pretty good at controlling them.“
