Justin Rose continues to compete at the very highest level of the game despite the fact that he is now well into his mid-40s.

It’s a crying shame really that Rose’s only major championship win came at the U.S. Open in 2013.

The Englishman could easily have a Masters trophy and an Open Championship title tucked safely away by now.

However, Rose has kept himself in tremendous shape and he still firmly believes he is capable of winning at least one more major championship.

Incredibly, Rose is actually longer off the tee now than he was in his 30s, and that will stand him in great stead for the next five years or so.

It would be great to see the Englishman win one more major before he retires.

Given the work he puts into his game, he is certainly more than deserving of that.

Justin Rose’s caddie says what he is really like to work for

It is widely known that Rose is one of the more demanding PGA Tour players to caddie for due to the high standards he sets.

Rose’s caddie, Mark Fulcher, also known as ‘Fooch’, has opened up on his working relationship with the 45-year-old PGA Tour star, when speaking to Beyond The Clubhouse.

Rose is intensely professional and always seems to maintain his focus out on the golf course.

However, what is he really like to work for?

Fulcher responded when asked that exact question.

He’s, uh, he’s tough, at times, he admitted.

But he’s also very fair, and, as I said, you know, he puts in 100% effort, and all he expects of his team members is to put in the same.

So if we all do that, then nothing can be said at the end of the week.

We’re talking about what he needs at a certain time, and obviously, you know, energy, conservation is really important.

He’s 45, incredibly fit, amazingly fit for his age, but we all have to understand that, you know, Father Time is catching up.

So we’d have to be aware of the boundaries, and I think we’re all pretty good at controlling them.

It does seem like Rose can be challenging to work for at times, but as Fooch said, if he’s putting in so much effort, it’s understandable that he expects the same from all members of his team.

What Justin Rose expects from his team

Fulcher was asked how meticulous Rose is with his preparation ahead of every single event he plays.

He leaves no stone unturned, Rose’s long-standing caddie admitted.

He prepares as well as he possibly can, and he looks after his team very well, but in return, he expects them to try and match his effort and resolve, and try to solve a problem, whether it’s Augusta, whether it’s the Open Championship, or whether it’s Bay Hill.

And I think that’s why he gets such a good group of lads together who are able to commit their time and knowledge, and, you know, golf is about losing, most of the time.

So, winning’s very rare, and it takes a lot of effort, and, obviously, Rosie puts in 105%, so, you know, that’s why he’s been so successful.

To compete at the highest level at Rose’s age takes huge commitment and dedication to his craft.

Would it really surprise anybody if he contends at The Masters next week? It certainly shouldn’t.

At 45, Rose is one of the best golfers in the world right now, and he deserves huge praise for that fact.
