Juventus midfielder Nicolo Fagioli has detailed some of his betting episodes.
Fagioli has been banned from playing for seven months over illegal betting on matches.
He told Tuttosport: "Juventus since the period of the youth team informed us that it was forbidden for us members to place both legal and illegal bets on football matches: I have gambled on matches of both national and international championships but I have never bet on Cremonese or Juventus.
"It was my habit to often bet on football matches while they were in progress. On that occasion I bet on a draw or on a victory for Milan (against Torino). I lost because the match ended two to one for Torino. In relation to the receipt shown to me for the Champions League matches, Porto-Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid-Inter, I bet that they would score less than 3 or 4 goals. Also on this occasion it was an illegal platform Betart.
"In the period following September 2022 I played compulsively in front of the TV on any sporting event I was watching, including football. Serie B and Lega Pro included. I bet with such frequency and even on more events at the same time that I am unable to remember. I never spoke about my bets with managers and/or players and/or members of FC Juventus because I didn't trust anyone."
