The first Kabir Bajwa Memorial Inter-School Table Tennis Tournament-2026 commenced at the school. The inaugural day featured top paddlers from renowned sports institutions across the Tricity, resulting in high-voltage and highly technical matches throughout the campus. Learning Paths School dominated the opening day, showcasing brilliant technical coordination and mental fortitude to secure crucial victories across various categories. The results of the prominent matches on Day 1 were highly intriguing. In the Under-14 (Girls) inaugural match played between the hosts Shemrock School and Learning Paths School, the latter opened its account with a hard-fought 3-2 victory. In the Under-12 (Boys) category, Learning Paths School players maintained their dominance over Shemrock School, executing a brilliant strategy to win the match 3-1. Similarly, the Under-14 (Boys) match between Learning Paths School and St Joseph’s, Chandigarh, became the centre of attraction. Both teams engaged in long, thrilling rallies, where Learning Paths School eventually registered an impressive 3-1 win. In another match of the same category, Manav Rachna International School demonstrated outstanding skill to inflict a one-sided 3-0 defeat on Amity International School. In the final league match of the day in the Under-12 (Girls) category, Learning Paths School strengthened its position for the next round by comfortably defeating Manav Rachna School 3-0. According to AS Bajwa, Chairman of Shemrock Senior Secondary School, Sector 69, the opening day matches have set a very high benchmark for the championship, with all players demonstrating remarkable sports discipline and an unyielding spirit to win.
