Keegan Bradley has spoken about the difference between Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler while sharing his experience as a teammate of the Northern Irishman in TGL.
McIlroy was a standout player for Europe during their Ryder Cup victory in 2025, marking the first time an away team had won the event since 2012. That performance added to an already impressive record of success against Bradley.
There’s been some history between them too. Fans at Bethpage Black crossed the line with their behaviour, and it was McIlroy who bore most of it. Afterward, he criticised Bradley for not doing more to address the situation.
Bradley shares thoughts on Rory McIlroy and draws contrast with Scottie Scheffler

Speaking on the Games With Names podcast, Bradley discussed his experience teaming up with McIlroy for TGL’s Boston Common. He pointed out that there are clear differences between watching McIlroy play and observing Scottie Scheffler.
“It’s great when he’s a teammate. When he’s on the other side, it’s tough. I can’t tell you how good this guy is. He’s so talented. Everything he does, I’m watching it and I can’t believe it,” he said.
“When you watch Scottie play, he’s so talented but he’s hitting cool shots. But Rory, he hits a driver and you’re like, holy cow! I think he’s one of the longest players on the tour.”
Bradley shares what playing for Boston Common means to him
TGL is still trying to find its place in the golf world. There’s obvious potential, and there have been some great moments, but opinion among fans remains mixed.
Much like LIV Golf, it is difficult to really become invested in the teams. There is no home advantage with all matches taking place at the SoFi Center. Meanwhile, most of the players are not from the areas they represent.
Bradley, though, has always been open about his love for New England sports, whether it’s the Patriots, Celtics or Bruins.
And he made it clear how much representing Boston in TGL means to him.
“It’s really fun to be out there and have a team and play for Boston. Playing for Boston means something to me. TGL is great. This stuff is really important, but for me, playing for Boston, that means something,” he said.
If more players start showing that same kind of commitment to their teams, TGL could find a stronger foothold with fans over time.
