
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s keglers added one bronze on day two of the Sarawak Hornbill Team Cup 2023 bowling tournament held at the 40 AMF Synthetic lanes, Megalanes EMart at Batu Kawah, in Kuching, Sarawak on Thursday.
They managed to finish in third place in the doubles event (short oil) through Md Noer Said, Azril Fakhree and Ahamd Azraei with a total pin drop of 1739.
“We are grateful to be placed third against very strong opponents with everyone playing so well, and we had also tried our very best.
“We are thankful to coach Azami (Inal) for his guidance and we are now turning our attention to do well in the trio event,” said captain Noer on Friday.

“We were all a bit upset because we were in the lead from the beginning of the game, due to a slight mistake in the last game, three other teams managed to overtake us with high pin drops,” he said.
Sabah are now third overall on points after the end of four categories, only three points adrift of second place Penang and 13 points behind leaders Sunway Megalanes.
