Kevin Hart and Bryson DeChambeau represented a somewhat unlikely pairing at The Masters Par 3 Contest at Augusta National.

DeChambeau brought Hart along as his caddie for the family-fun competition that took place just before The Masters, which was won by Aaron Rai.

Comedian Hart even tried his luck on the course at one stage, although it certainly wasn’t as successful as he would have hoped as his ball found the water on the iconic ninth hole.

And very frustratingly for DeChambeau, the LIV Golf star experienced similar disappointment when he got his tournament underway.

DeChambeau finds himself in a tie for 56th after a 4-over 76 in round one, although that hasn’t stopped Hart from sending him a heartwarming message on social media.

Sharing images of their time together at The Masters Par 3 Contest, Hart posted on Instagram: “I have to be honest and say that for the first time I got to experience something that truly was above and beyond the hype that it receives…

“Attending The Masters was a mind-blowing experience… Major thank you to The Masters & Bryson DeChambeau for making this happen.

“Being able to caddy and have a bird’s eye pov was insane! I had the time of my life… I am an official lover of the sport of golf…

“The bug bit me hard! I can’t wait to do it all over again! P.S. [Li Haotong] you are the man! My guy!”

Bryson DeChambeau suffers nightmare first round at The Masters

DeChambeau would have been targeting a very strong start to The Masters, which he entered in fine form.

Such form and his major championship history suggested a successful venture was on the cards, but he simply never got going in round one.

DeChambeau managed just two birdies from his 18 holes, along with 12 pars, three bogeys and one triple bogey.

Having gone through 10 holes at even par, the American then suffered disaster as he needed three shots from the greenside bunker on 11, making that triple bogey.

Fortunately for DeChambeau, he wasn’t the only player to struggle on a tricky opening day at Augusta National.

Two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson joins him on 4-over, along with 2016 winner Danny Willett.
