King Charles is said to have reached "an agreement" to see his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet.

It would mark the first time the King has seen Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's children since the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022.

With the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's upcoming visit to the UK next month, the monarch is set to reunite with his beloved grandchildren, according to The Sun.

King Charles is said to be overjoyed at the prospect of being reconciled with his grandchildren.

Harry, Meghan, Prince Archie, now seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, will travel to the UK between July 6 and 10, attending engagements in Birmingham and London connected to next year's Invictus Games.

The family will be accommodated in a royal palace during their stay, it was revealed earlier today, marking a significant shift six years after their departure to North America.

It is claimed Buckingham Palace is among the properties under consideration, with sources describing it as the "safest building in Britain".

The Palace is currently unoccupied by royals as a £369million renovation continues, but it remains heavily protected by the Household Division and armed Metropolitan Police officers.

Other potential locations include St James's Palace in central London, Windsor Castle, or even Frogmore Cottage, the couple's former residence before their move to California in 2020.

It has remained empty since the King categorically evicted the Sussexes from the property in 2022.

For the duchess, it would mark her first return to British soil since Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in September 2022.

An agreement is understood to be in place, ensuring the monarch will spend time with Archie and Lilibet during the visit.

The young royals, who are sixth and seventh in line to the throne, have been kept away from Britain since Harry lost his round-the-clock security following the couple's 2020 departure.

Whether Meghan will accompany her husband and children when they meet the King remains uncertain.

The visit will not, however, bring reconciliation between the brothers.

Prince Harry is not expected to meet the Prince of Wales, with the pair believed to have had no contact since their grandmother's funeral nearly four years ago.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliamsrevealed to GB News earlier this week William was left "deeply betrayed" by Harry's actions and is "unlikely" to meet his estranged brother.

Harry has previously expressed hopes for healing family rifts, telling the BBC in May 2025 of his desire for reconciliation.

That September, he met his father for around 45 minutes at Clarence House, presenting Charles with a framed photograph of his children.

The Duke also flew to Britain alone when the King received his cancer diagnosis two years ago.
