Kota Kinabalu: Markets here typically visited by tourists for souvenirs and food are now branded as “Anjung Kinabalu”, said Mayor Datuk Seri Dr Sabin Samitah, Friday.

The rebranding encompassed all market and commercial spaces in the state capital, including the night, handicraft, Sinsuran, fruits and fish markets.

“The name 'Anjung Kinabalu' was inspired by other nearby places that also use the word 'anjung', like Anjung Senja and Anjung Selera, and will make it simpler for tourists to remember," he said.
