KUALA LUMPUR - KLCC will once again become the centre of Malaysia's fashion industry as Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week (KLFW) 2026 returns to the Esplanade at KLCC Park from Aug 3 to Aug 9.

Held under the theme Destination: Home Ground, the 14th edition will bring together more than 50 Malaysian designers and labels in a celebration of local creativity, culture and fashion.

Organised in collaboration with Suria KLCC and KLCC (Holdings) Sdn Bhd, the annual event is supported by the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2026.

This year's edition expands beyond conventional runway presentations by introducing fashion experiences throughout Suria KLCC, further strengthening KLCC's position as a destination where retail, culture and creativity intersect.

The main venue has been redesigned with inspiration from archival batik prints from Yayasan Sabah, featuring a monochromatic heritage-themed facade, all-white hourglass-shaped runways and a purpose-built 500-seat hall.

Live runway broadcasts will also be screened on a large LED display, allowing shoppers and the public to experience the shows.

Fashion-themed activities across Suria KLCC will include styling displays by students from Isetan KLCC, a visual exhibition by Moccona and KPDN's Jom Malaysia pop-up showcasing homegrown brands.

More than 50 designers and labels will take part in this year's event, including runway debuts by Plaza, NanaLyana, Asyraf Arrif, inisaya by Jeffery Goh, 99%Angel, CDH and Emri.

Established names such as Rizman Ruzaini and Fiziwoo will also return, with Rizman presenting two consecutive shows and Fiziwoo showcasing Woo Brothers, the menswear extension of its brand.

Malaysian craftsmanship will also be highlighted through collaborations such as Muni's partnership with designer Jeff Yeong and social enterprise Tanoti's debut collection.

Meanwhile, KPDN will revive its Fashion Forward Batik Malaysia segment, featuring 30 looks created by 10 local designers using batik sourced from both Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia.

KLCC will host KLFW 2026 at the Esplanade KLCC Park from Aug 3 to Aug 9, featuring over 50 Malaysian designers under the theme Destination: Home Ground.

Suria KLCC Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer Francis Tan said the shopping destination remains committed to supporting Malaysia's creative industry while positioning KLCC as the home of local fashion.

"As the iconic home ground for Malaysian fashion, Suria KLCC is pleased to welcome KLFW 2026 back to the Esplanade KLCC. This year's theme, Destination: Home Ground, beautifully mirrors our own commitment to championing local creativity.

“We are exceptionally proud that our esteemed retail partner, Rizman Ruzaini, will be steering the official opening showcase of this 14th edition on Aug 3. Beyond the runway, our goal is to nurture an ecosystem where homegrown talent thrives, elevating Malaysian design innovation and creative expression onto a grander national scale.

“Suria KLCC remains the ultimate experiential destination where Malaysian culture, style and retail excellence seamlessly come together," he said.

KLCC (Holdings) Sdn Bhd Group Chief Executive Officer Datuk Sr Mohd Salem Kailany said the collaboration with Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week (KLFW) reinforces KLCC’s role as a cultural and creative destination.

He added that KLFW continues to champion Malaysia’s creative talent and its return to KLCC further strengthens KLCC The Place as a dynamic destination where culture, creativity and community come together.

“As a partner, we are pleased to support a platform that continues to grow in influence, welcoming new designers alongside established names, showcasing the depth and diversity of Malaysian talent and enlivening KLCC The Place with the inspiring energy of Malaysian creativity," he said.

KLFW founder Andrew Tan said this year's Destination: Home Ground theme reflects the event's commitment to celebrating local identity while creating new experiences for audiences.

He said the theme brings Malaysian fashion back to its roots while propelling it into the future by placing greater emphasis on local spaces and experiences, creating more opportunities for people to connect with and celebrate the country's style, stories and culture.

“KLFW is more than just a series of runway shows; it is a shared community experience where fashion enthusiasts, trendsetters and visitors from all over gather at our home ground to witness passion in action.

"A platform of this scale is only possible through collaboration. We are grateful for the continued support of Suria KLCC, along with our Principal Industry Strategic Partner, the KPDN and our KLFW 2026 sponsors and partners,” he mentioned.

Meanwhile, KPDN Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali described the collaboration with Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week (KLFW) 2026 as a flagship initiative under the ministry’s newly rebranded "Jom Beli Produk Malaysia" (Jom Malaysia) campaign.

He said the rebranding represents more than a change in name, as it aims to inspire a stronger sense of pride in Malaysian talent and creativity.

“Partnering with a platform like KLFW allows us to directly connect our homegrown fashion entrepreneurs with broader markets. Fashion is a dynamic economic force.

“When we choose to buy local, we are not just celebrating Malaysian style and innovation; we are actively driving national economic growth and uplifting our creative communities," he said.

KLFW 2026 will run from Aug 3 to Aug 9 at the Esplanade, KLCC Park.
