If you’re a frequent traveller who relies on KLIA Transit and Ekspres to get around the Kuala International Airport (KLIA) Terminals 1 and 2 and the city centre, this piece of news is for you.
Starting January 2027, the one-way adult fare between KL Sentral and KLIA will be increased by RM10, with the current fare jumping from RM55 to RM65.
Fares for other sectors are expected to see similar price adjustments as well, reported FMT.

Discounts to be offered
In a statement by Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL), its CEO Noormah Noor said the price hike was due to a significant rise in operating and maintenance costs in line with its concession agreement with the government.
She added that the previous price increase was in 2016 and said the move was to “support efforts to maintain high service standards and invest in improvements to enhance passenger experience.”
However, Noormah said ERL is working with several partners to offer exclusive ticket discounts of up to 30%, with further details to be unveiled in due course.
